Seeking Intern: Operations Associate

We are seeking a self-directed and organized Operations Associate to join our team. You will be responsible for organizing our team's internal communication and improving our operations/workflows. You will be working directly alongside the Director of Operations.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, self-starter, organized, and has experience with administrative work.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing and organizing company files, documents, and records to ensure efficient access and retrieval.

  • Aid in scheduling meetings and coordinating appointments for team members using digital calendar systems.

  • Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and other relevant materials as needed.

  • Conduct research and gather information on various topics to support ongoing projects.

  • Help with data entry and maintenance of databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

  • Collaborate with the team to ensure a well-coordinated workflow and effective communication.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with great attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Proficiency in using office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation tools.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, while also being a team player.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as needed.

  • Must have access to a reliable internet connection and appropriate technology to work remotely.

Duration:

  • Applications close on January 4th, 2024

  • Internship Officially Begins February 5th, 2024

  • Part-time work, expected to dedicate 8 to 10 hours each week

Benefits:

  • This is an unpaid internship. We are currently volunteer staff. However, if Beacon has acquired flexibility in funding by end-of-year, a stipend may be available depending on performance.

  • This position is remote, with occasional in-person meetings or events that the entire team is invited to attend if they wish.
