Seeking Intern: Content Creator

We are seeking a motivated and creative Content Coordinator to join our team. You will be responsible for assisting in the development and execution of our content marketing initiatives. You will work directly alongside the Social Media Manager.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, a self-starter, and has experience with content creation and social media platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Head the creation of visual assets such as graphics, photos, and videos

  • Assist in the development and execution of content marketing campaigns across various social media platforms, newsletters, and the company blog

  • Maintain our current social media campaigns, such as Mutual Aid Mondays, and initiate and create content from your own campaigns

  • Collaborate with our board of directors and staff to curate content that aligns with the company’s messaging

  • Assist in managing the company's social media accounts and engagement, monitoring and responding to customer inquiries and comments

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with content creation and social media platforms

  • Basic knowledge of graphic design software such as Canva or Figma

  • Video and Audio editing software familiarity such as Premier is a plus

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Duration:

  • Internship Officially Begins February 5th, 2024

  • Part-time work, expected to dedicate 8 to 10 hours each week

Compensation:

  • This is an unpaid internship. We are currently volunteer staff. However, depending on the success of Beacon’s social media campaign and flexibility in funding by end-of-year, a modest stipend may be available

Location:

This position is remote, with occasional in-person meetings or events that the entire team is invited to attend if they wish
