Beacon in the news!
Celebrating What Beacon Has Been Building ✨
We’ve been taking a moment to reflect on what the Beacon Network has been up to this past year—and feeling deeply grateful for the neighbors, volunteers, partners, and supporters who’ve made this work possible.
From mutual aid roots to long-term recovery efforts, Beacon has been showing what it looks like when communities care for each other in real, tangible ways: restoring damaged ecosystems, weatherizing campers for displaced neighbors, mobilizing volunteers, and building networks of support that last beyond a single crisis.
We’re also honored that this work is being recognized and shared more widely through some incredible recent media coverage:
🎥 PBS Charlotte highlighted Beacon’s ecological restoration work and the role local communities are playing in healing landscapes after Hurricane Helene:

These stories don’t just highlight Beacon—they reflect the strength, creativity, and care of this community. We’re proud of what’s been built together, and even more excited about what’s ahead.
